By uploading pictures to FreePhotos.com you agree to the following rules: - pictures must be of stock photo quality. No one is looking for pictures of your family vacation or wants to see your Aunt sitting in front of a fountain. If you don't know what stock photographs are, please take a look at a site like www.corbis.com or do a search on Google for other Stock Photo sites. - photo format must be jpeg with a maximum size of 2 megs and 640x480 pixels. We reserve the right to change these requirements at any time. - you will only upload photos taken by you. If you upload a photo that you do not fully own the copyright to you will accept all legal ramifications of doing so including indemnifying FreePhotos.com. Please see our terms page for more details. - if you took a picture in a jurisdiction where a model release is required, you will have obtained a valid, signed model release prior to uploading the photo to FreePhotos.com. DON'T TIPS: - don't upload garbage. If you wouldn't see it in a magazine, don't upload it here - don't upload blurry pictures. - don't take upload grainy pictures. Buy a better camera and try again. - don't make the subject too small. Pictures with a small object in the middle are virtually guaranteed to be rejected. - don't upload multiple shots of the same thing. Pick your best one and upload that. - don't take pictures in the dark. - don't take pictures towards the sun. - don't copy someone else's photo idea, be creative. - don't upload ANY pictures taken by a webcam, ever, don't even think about it. - don't upload anything that could ever be considered appropriate for an Adult/Porn/Soft-Porn site. If you can picture your picture in FHM, Stuff, or Maxim, send it to them, don't give it to us. DO TIPS: - white background - people love pictures that can be blended in to a white background. Especially pictures of people where the camera is slightly above the subject and the person is looking into the camera. You know what I'm talking about. Or try it with any object. You never know when someone wants to have a tasteful shot of a bolt/pen/key/whatever but with a white background. - close-ups of someone doing something. A hand holding an object, a person's legs as they walk up a flight of stairs. - look around - see what photos companies actually use and take inspiration from that to create your own. | ||||||
